Household Mover/ Crew Driver

About the role: A Move Crew Driver's role is to ensure customer satisfaction and quality service during any or all stages of packing, moving and relocating the transported items, by having great communication with each crew member and a strong understanding of the duties and tasks at hand while always practicing the Baymeadows Movers Core Values.
Responsibilities

• Position is based in Northeast Florida with occasional short haul trips that could require overnight stay.
• Being responsible for the condition of the truck, inspecting the truck for safety and reporting any malfunctioning areas/parts of the truck.
• Inspects all cargo to make sure it has been loaded properly.
• Reviews all necessary shipping documents.
• Must be punctual and adhere to the provided schedule.
• Responsible for packing and actively participating in both the pick up (loading) and delivery (unloading and placement) of household items and/or commercial items.
• Properly and safely use moving equipment (ex: box dolly, stretch wrap, furniture pads)
• Pack items in the appropriately sized boxes, loading storage containers
• Properly provide property protection at the locations related to the customer's move.
• This list can vary depending on the company's needs at the given time.
• Ensure your fellow Move Crew Members understand the Baymeadows Movers Core Values, along with how to properly use all moving equipment.
• Ensure your fellow Move Crew Members maintain a constant, high level of customer satisfaction and contract compliance in a professional, friendly manner.
• Maintains clean and safe operating conditions of both their sounding areas related to the move, along with all related equipment.
• To work effectively in a team environment, managing time wisely
• To give the best version of yourself every single day, motivated to be successful

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in the moving and storage industry.
• Must be at least 23 years of age, due to the company insurance specifications.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Use proper lifting techniques and methods at all times
• To submit all paperwork to the office
• Adheres to the drug and alcohol free workplace practices
• Adheres to all company policies and assists in reinforcing said policies to their crew.
• Adheres to all safety, OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Be open to a full background check, drug test.
• Must be in good physical condition.
• DOT physical with med card required.

Compensation

• Competitive hourly pay rate with opportunities for overtime and advancement.
